At Pomellow, a global self-care app for eating disorder recovery, I developed and managed both the frontend and the backend.
Built a cross-platform multilingual app with Expo and i18n, reaching users in over 182 countries, and set up the backend with Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Scheduler).
Also integrated RevenueCat for subscription handling and collaborated on major design updates.
Main features I implemented:
Drove an 8% increase in user retention by actively contributing to the design process and implementing a refined new app theme.
A friend system, including friend requests, shared meal views, and supportive messaging
A timezone-aware notification system that reminds users to log meals at local breakfast/lunch/dinner times
A subscription wall to manage access to premium features
